Lalelkai Nature Lodge is a community-based eco lodge located on a private island in Misool, the southern region of Raja Ampat, West Papua, Indonesia. The island and the lodge are locally owned and managed, offering guests an authentic experience of Raja Ampat’s natural and cultural beauty.
Established in 2018, Lalelkai Nature Lodge promotes community-based ecotourism. We engage local residents from nearby villages to support our hospitality operations, ensuring that tourism directly benefits the surrounding community.
Our lodge features two types of accommodation — the Main House Rooms located on land and the Water Cottages (overwater bungalows) built above the turquoise lagoon. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and designed for comfort while maintaining harmony with nature.
The island of Lalelkai is surrounded by vibrant coral reefs, home to diverse marine life. Although parts of the reef were once damaged by fishing activities before the lodge was established, since our operation began in December 2017, the area has been protected from fishing and destructive practices.
Our team continues to work closely with the local community to restore and conserve the coral reef and surrounding marine environment — preserving Raja Ampat’s last paradise for future generations.
